Feb 2016 WNP Meeting and Job Announcements

Hi everyone,

I have tentative details on our WNP Feb 2016 meeting. It will be Tues Feb 16, 2016 at The Cellar. Dr. Andreas Muench (a local cardiologist) has requested to speak to our group regarding cardiovascular advancements. We are finalizing the time and topic and I will get that out as soon as possible.

Two job announcements shared by members of the WNP:

1. Dr. Robert Kreutzmann in Ozark was looking for an NP.

2. Troy Regional Medical Center in Troy, AL is looking for an NP hospitalist to cover afternoon, evenings Mon-Fri. They do want someone with experience and the ability to work when a physician is not present in the hospital at all times (the doc would be on call).

Also, please don't forget to pay your WNP dues and please join our state group The Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama (NPAA) as well. NPAA is our state group that is responsible for the advancements that have been made in NP practice in Alabama and we need to provide them with as much support as possible.

The NPAA has our first steering committee meeting of 2106 this weekend, so if you have any local, state, insurance issues/concerns, etc., please send me a message to make us aware of any barriers you may be encountering with your practice.
